U14 COUNTY FOOTBALL FINAL

Micheál MacCraith Trá Mhór 2-5 Gall Tír 1-8. In a pulsating County Football Final last Saturday morning 4th June nothing could separate these two splendid footballing sides. If it was great skill, outstanding commitment, toe to toe endeavor, never say die attitude then the parents and followers of these 2 great football clubs saw it all in this titanic struggle. Ably refereed by Dessie O'Leary who let the play flow, we were witness to a treat of first class football, an advertisement for football in Waterford. Tramore struck for an early goal through Cian Rellis,  however the Gall Tir lads clawed their way back into the game with some lovely points. Going in at half time the Tramore men trailed narrowly , however a tremendous effort in the second half aided by a clever flick to the net from Kealan Graham saw us back in the lead. Gall Tír rallied again and lead by a single point at the death but Odhran O'Donnell scored the equalising point in what proved to be the last play of the game. These lads will have to do it all over again which should prove a treat for neutrals but will be just as harrowing for their followers. Trá Mhór panel Dillon Dunphy, Conor Phelan, Jack Brennan, Stephen Pollard , Darren Connor , Tony Kelly, Michael Morrisey, John Finnegan, Richard Ayodele, Dean Larkin , Sam Morrissey, Odhran O'Donnell, Thomas Murray, Joe Barry, Cian Rellis, Cian Murphy , Kealan Graham, Oisin Keating, Sean Evans, Jack Deegan, Fintan Conway, Sean McMahon, Aran O'Brien, Dara O' Brien, Josh Flynn
