Sincere sympathy to the family of Tom Power, Knockenduff and formerly of Market Street, who died recently. Tom was a City man, who came to Tramore after his marriage to his beloved wife, the late Tessie, and was a great supporter of the Club over the years. He played his hurling with Erin's Own and played Minor and Senior hurling for Waterford in the early Fifties and was also an outstanding athlete in his youth. Two of his sons, Lester and Luke, gave brilliant service to the Club over many years, as did Luke's son, Mark, who was an excellent footballer and hurler. Tommy was a gentleman to his fingertips and had a huge interest in greyhounds throughout his life. May the Lord have mercy on his gentle soul.
