Our under 10 squad travelled on Saturday to Carriganore for a blitz. The boys battled well in every match and the most pleasing aspect was seeing the improvement match on match culminating in a top class performance against Ballygunner. Ben in goal was steady throughout with his accurate puck outs to players in space showing great maturity. All the backs played well but special mention to Kieran McGrath in his first under 10 match who grew into the blitz match on match. All midfielders covered acres of ground and kept the ball moving. After a slow start the forwards rose to the occasion in the last 2 matches with some great goals and points. Well done to all on a very well run blitz. Evan O Shea picked up an injury in the second match after bravely contesting the ball but had recovered by the end of the blitz. It was his birthday on Saturday so best wishes from all the squad. Thanks to all the parents for your support today, and we look forward to the next Blitz.
Our U13 footballers lost out to a good Gaultier side on Saturday last in their first competitive game. Best wishes and a speedy recovery to Frankie Gillane who had to go off with an injury .
