QUISH’S SUPERVALU TRAMORE

A big thank you to our club sponsors Quish's for their continued support of all our teams.

INTERMEDIATE FOOTBALL.

The lads managed their first win of the campaign on Friday last against a resilient Newtown side.  Playing with the aid of a strong breeze in the first half we managed to notch up 6 points to Newtown's one.  The second half saw Newtown storm back into it and right to the end we were made work hard for the win.  Final score Newtown 0-8 Tramore 2-8.

U14 FOOTBALL

Tramore and Gaultier played out a very entertaining game on in Gaultier on Thursday evening last (7th). These two teams have had many a battle over the last few years and this game was no different.

The game was played in good conditions and started at a frantic pace. Gaultier opened the scoring with a well taken goal when the Tramore defenders had a momentary lapse of concentration. Tramore soon saw their feet and responded with a well taken goal by Cian. Another point and a penalty goal by Cian and a well executed goal by Sam left the score at half time at 3-1 to 1-1 to Tramore.Gaultier made many changes at half time however the Tramore lads continued to work hard and defended and attacked with equal vigour. Tramore scored another goal through Richard and stood strong when Gaultier threw everything at them. Tramore finished off the game with a well taken free by Kealan. The final score was Tramore 4-2  Gaultier 1-2, a weel deserved victory for Tramore.

The 17 players that featured all played their part.

Tony was faultless in goals and his kickouts were excellent. The full back line of Oisin, Jack and Conor didn’t give their opponents an inch and defended as if their lives depended on it. The half back line of Darren, Dillon and Tomas were suberb and attacked at every opportunity. Dillon thwarted attack after attack and was outstanding throughout.

The midfield duo of Dean and Richard belied their years and its hard to believe that both are still under 13. They won the midfield battle hands down and Richard was rewarded for his hard work with a well taken goal.

The half forward line of Odhran, Sam and John worked tirelessly and Sam held his position excellently and contributed to the the scoring with an excellent goal. The full forward line of Kealan, Cian and Joe caused havoc every time they touched the ball and Cian in particular was superb throughout scoring a total of 2-1.

Sean and Stephen both played their parts when introduced early in the second half, Sean with some vital interceptions and Stephen supporting the full forward line.

All in all an excellent team display and we look forward to our next match again against Gaultier in the Feile at home next Thursday evening (14th)

All support welcome !!
